A Lunch for Peanut Butter Lovers

Do you love Peanut Butter or nut butter? Then this lunch box idea is for you!

Arnie, the Doughnut - a Literary Lunch

Arnie, the Doughnut by Laurie Keller is a deliciously imaginative story about friendship. This laugh out loud book follows Arnie from the Bakery to Mr. Bing who to Arnie's surprise wants to EAT him. After lengthy negotiations a friendship - you don't want to miss - ensues!

We packed a lunch-to-go in our Planetbox Shuttle you could make friends with:

• cool and fun cucumber slices
• sweet and friendly grapes
• and a happy and loyal cream cheese bagel with chocolate, pretzel and sprinkle designs.

Easy Lunches

I kept lunches simple today and even got some unexpected help this morning!

My 2nd Grader grabbed his Goodbyn Bynto this morning and we filled it with:

• Pirate Booty Snack
• a kiwi
• a cereal bar
• a sweet treat for a rainy day (chocolate covered nuts) and 
• peanut butter and jelly sushi

My middle schooler beat me to packing his lunch in an Easylunchboxes container! He packed:

• a peanutbutter tortilla
• trail mix
• cut up pineapple and
• some Pirate Booty Snack

Maggi and Milo - a Literary Lunch

MAGGI AND MILO is the adorable new book written by Juli Brenning and illustrated by Priscilla Burris. Maggi is an excellent adventurer and Milo's best friend. Milo is a Border Collie and very smart. When Maggi's Grandmother sends a package with all the necessities for a frog hunt Maggi and Milo head out almost immediately to find frogs. To find out if they are successful grab a copy of the book from your local library or book store!

A fun lunch for hungry frog hunters is packed in our Easylunchboxes:

• a little frog hiding in pineapple leaves and pineapple chunks
• strawberry yogurt with blue glitter swirls and polka dots (just like Maggi's new boots)
• a bucket (for the frog) filled with green frog bait (my kids thought green mint M&Ms would work)
• and of course Maggi and Milo peanut butter sandwiches decorated with dark chocolate.

My preschooler loved this book. It has adorable illustrations and the story is just simply fun and sweet. Who would not want to go frog hunting with their best friend?

I would recommend this book for any age to read out loud! My daughter loved Maggi and both of them share a love for dogs and rain boots! We especially enjoyed finding all the little frog details in the book and in between highlighted words made reading this book aloud fun for everyone!
