Tomorrow is A. A. Milne's Birthday and we are celebrating with a Winnie the Pooh bento lunch!
"How do you spell 'love'?" - Piglet
"You don't spell it...you feel it." - Pooh
― A.A. Milne
We packed a lunch for a walk in the Hundred Acre woods:
- a Winnie the Pooh chocolate spread sandwich with cinnamon and jelly details
- a few Goldfish
- strawberries and
- a half and apple with a heart carve out.
This lunch was also posted at The Little Crooked Cottage, home to four children’s book authors and a pig. It’s also a children’s book blog dedicated to celebrating authors, illustrators, and their creations! Go check them out HERE and stay awhile!
I made the Winnie the Pooh sandwich using my CuteZCute Animal Friends Cutter.
After filling the sandwich I melted cinnamon chips and piped the face onto the sandwich. I also added a few dots of strawberry jelly for the cheeks. Then I added the Goldfish and fruit and the bento box was packed. Very fast and easy :)
